Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. In Korean, tae means "to strike or break with foot"; kwon means "to strike or break with fist"; and do means "way", "method", or "art. All together Taekwondo means the way of striking or breaking with fist or foot. We, at School Of Taekwondo, believe in providing quality martial arts instruction as a way of teaching young students discipline, proper social behaviour, and self-control attitude. Taekwondo is very different from many such oriental martial arts. First, physically it is very dynamic with active movements that include a mirage of foot skills. Second, the principle physical movements are in simpatico with that of the mind and life as a whole. Third, it possesses dynamic poses from another perspective.
